Philosophy & Approach
I believe religion should serve people, not the other way around. Jewish tradition offers meaningful ways to celebrate life's joys, navigate its challenges, and mark important moments along the journey. While Judaism is my path, I believe there are many paths to spirituality, and I welcome people of all backgrounds and beliefs with respect and appreciation.
Background
My path to the rabbinate began with music. Long before I became a Spiritual Leader, I experienced music as a source of meaning, connection, and spiritual expression. It led me first to a career as an opera singer and college voice professor, and eventually to Jewish communal life, where I discovered that what mattered most to me was helping people connect more deeply to themselves, one another, and Jewish tradition.
Whether helping a student gain confidence, supporting a family through loss, creating meaningful ritual, or teaching Torah, human connection remains at the heart of my work.

My Story
My path to the rabbinate began with music. From my earliest days, I experienced music as a source of meaning, connection, and spiritual expression. It led me first to a career as an opera singer and college voice professor, and eventually to Jewish communal life, where I discovered that what mattered most to me was helping people connect more deeply to themselves, one another, and Jewish tradition.
Those moments continue to shape the way I approach this work today.
Why Independent Clergy Work Matters to Me
Independent clergy work enables me to meet people where they are and create ceremonies, learning experiences, and pastoral relationships that reflect their values, backgrounds, and needs.
For me, this work is about lowering barriers and opening doors.
